- Website Security
TradeUpCashOut member accounts are secured by member-created passwords and optionally (at member discretion) with a member-created security PIN as a two-step verification process for signing into a user account. TradeUpCashOut takes every precaution to ensure that member account information is kept private. We use the latest programming techniques to protect member information that is stored within our systems, and we restrict access to member information to those members who need access to perform their job functions, such as our financial personnel and technical staff.

Two-Step Account Verification
Within every member account, each member has the option to enable use of their security PIN as a two-step verification method for signing into their account. By enabling this feature, the member will be required to enter their PIN after a successful sign-in with their account username and password. This extra level of security makes it more difficult for hackers and bots to gain access to member accounts.
Passwords and PINS
Member-created passwords and security pins must meet or exceed certain guidelines based on the best practices today for such account verification methods. Additionally, TradeUpCashOut has developed an in-house, proprietary encryption system to secure member passwords and security pins. No open-source or publicly available programming methods were utilized to develop this system. This system encrypts passwords and security PINS through four random methodologies to a point where only the system can decipher how the password or pin was encrypted to do comparative analysis when a website visitor attempts to gain access to a member account, whether it be the member or someone else.
IP Blocking System
As a further method of security, TradeUpCashOut has implemented an IP blocking mechanism that detects fraudulent activity on the TradeUpCashOut website. People or automated bots that attempt to access secure folders, member accounts or any other portion of the TradeUpCashOut website that TradeUpCashOut has deemed necessary to secure will be met with restrictions on the amount of “invalid” attempts through these areas. Some areas will result in an immediate and permanent block while others will incur a temporary block. Temporary blocks will eventually incur a permanent block if the offender pursues any other suspicious or fraudulent activity. IP blocks are maintained within TradeUpCashOut systems and are logged immediately and reviewed daily. Although IP blocking is not a truly “accurate” way of preventing attacks on a server, due to the dynamic nature of most Internet Service Providers, it is a method that TradeUpCashOut deemed viable. Excessive fraudulent attempts are reported to the US Department of Justice, US Department of Homeland Security and the Internet Crime Complaint Center as required.
Please note that even with the security measures TradeUpCashOut has implemented, TradeUpCashOut cannot guarantee the security of member accounts and associated information. Unauthorized physical entry or use of hardware or unsecured software, hardware or software failures, and other factors may compromise the security of member information. If you require further assistance concerning the security of the TradeUpCashOut website, please contact us.
